When a player is promoted to the senior squad he will receive a boost towards his maximum potential in all skills.
The effect of the boost depends on the age of the player. A player of 17 years and 0 days will receive no boost whatsoever. After that the effect of the boost increases steadily the older the player is.
Players who have already reached their maximum potential, or who are very close to the max, will not receive a boost (or at best a very small boost).
