The first assistant coach is more efficient than the second, the second assistant coach is more efficient than the third and so forth. If you have 9 assistant coaches the last one will have a very limited effect.
It is recommended to have as many assistant coaches as you can afford! Assistant coaches influence the time it takes for a player to increase his skills, and therefore most teams have 9 or 10 assistant coaches.
