Since the beginning of season 38 experience has been minute based in the same way as training. So the longer a player stays on the field, the more experience he will get. There is no limit to the amount of experience a player can get in a week, so if he plays several matches during a week he will receive experience for all of them.

A player can only receive 90 minutes of experience, even if a match goes into extra time.

No other factors affect the experience update.
