Rating contribution:
Contributes to central defence with 86,6% of his goalkeeping skill and 42,5% of his defending skill.
Contributes to the side defence with 59,7% of his goalkeeping skill and 27,6% of his defending skill.
Stamina also has a minor influence on how well the goalkeeper performs. The experience of the goalkeeper also effects how well he performs. The more experience the higher contribution to the defence rating. As an example: a solid goalkeeper with formidable experience is better than a excellent goalkeeper with poor experience (if their stamina is equal).
After indirect free kicks were added to the game the set pieces skill will also influence the overall skill of the goalkeeper. To get a goalkeeper that is good at defending against direct free kicks and penalties he needs skills in both goalkeeping and set pieces.
