The seeding for the WC qualifying round is based on ranking.
Ranking points are only used for deciding the seeding for the qualifying rounds. The national training matches will not add points for the ranking list.
The ranking points will be reset for all teams once the WC matches have been decided. Points earned during a WC will be used for seeding for the qualification rounds at the next WC.
The rankings (not the ranking points) are calculated once the WC matches have been decided. After this the rankings will not be used again before the next WC. This is why the rankings are not being updated as you earn ranking points.
The following table shows the number of points achieved in each round. If a match is not settled in overtime it will be dicided by penalty kicks.
