Buying Players »
Don't buy any players the first 14 days. Get to know the game first. Play a couple of matches, get to know your players, ask questions in the questions forum, read the manual, find some external guides to the game and read this guide as well. Through that you will learn what to look for in the transfer list.
When the 14 days have passed you need to buy some young talents for the positions you want to train. Buy players aged 17-19 with skills higher than "inadequate". In time the player's skills will increase and so will the value. Then you sell the player and begin the proces again.
Do not buy any players for positions that will not receive training until you have bought your talents. The most important task for your team is to get the training program up and running.
Players with a "passable" main skill and an "inadequate" form will do fine in series VIII and IX.
