* It is possible to make 3 substitutions. Before the match you make some criteria (up to 5 even though you can't substitute more than 3 players) that have to be fulfilled in order for the substitutions to take place. It will be possible to change the attitude (e.g. from normal to offensive).Mid-season 35 (22-04-2008) - Fans and economy.
* The sponsor money is lowered (-3%). Stamina will be removed as a salary factor for your players. Each specialist will cost you €1.800 per week.
* Your fans will react a bit stronger to small wins/losses and a bit less strong to big wins/losses than in the past. It will be harder for your fans to reach and stay in an extremely high or low mood, especially low. Your fans will only partially reset their mood at season end. Their mood will move halfway to the middle point.Season 35 (12-02-2008) - Minute based training, home team advantage, ticket price increase and set pieces. Fan expectations. * The amount of training a player receives depends on how many minutes he has played for your team during the week.Mid-season 34 (04-12-2007) - Changes to the Youth Academy.
* Home team in a derby will get a small home team advantage.
* Ticket price increase to 18 € for seats under roof. More such tickets will also be sold in rainy and cloudy weather.
* Set pieces will work as every other skill (reg. training and skill decrease) and also affect salaries.
* At the beginning of every season your fans will tell you what they expect from the team. These expectations mainly depend on what happened last season, what the fans expected back then and what the result was. The team attitude will have an effect on fans. The formula for spectators is changed. During rainy or cloudy weather more tickets for seats under roof is sold in stead of basic seats.
* Scouts and trainers are now better educated to communicate, which means their hints will be easier to understand.
* All existing youth academy players will immediately receive boosted skills and potential to better reflect what our intentions were for Youth Academy players. Future players will start at these new levels.Season 34 (02-11-2007) - New Match Engine and training system. Changes to the "skill drop" system.
* Training speed for Youth Academy players will increase
* Stamina training and form will be removed from Youth Academy.
* You will never lose your current skill when you promote a player into the regular squad.

* The new match engine will only be used for friendly games during the upcoming season (it will be used in all matches from the beginning of season 35). The impact of skills, and how much weight they have on different positions on the field, has changed considerably. Stamina will now matter for all players. The star ratings of your players will change.Season 33 (15-07-2007) - Economical changes and player development.
* The new training system is based on three factors: type of training, age and current level of skill.
* “Background” training will only benefit players that have played during the week.
* Set Pieces training will no longer benefit the whole squad – just players that have played during the week. Set Pieces takers and Goalkeepers will also get a 25 % boost to their Set Pieces training.
* The "skill drop" system will now be a rather gradual and predictable “aging process”. The deciding factors will be the age of the player and the level of each skill.
* The age discount for older players will be reduced.
* Sponsorship money for all teams will be increased.Season 32 (26-03-2007) - The Youth Academy has opened.
* We will keep a small interest on savings at half of the current rate. We will also lower the interest on borrowed money by one third.
* The price of constructing new arena seats will decrease by 25%.
* All players in Hattrick have accepted a reduction of their salaries by €250 a week.
* Ticket prices have been increased by around 20%.
* Stamina will be trained every week as a percentage of the total amount of training. The effect from training stamina will deteriorate at higher levels. Older players will need more training every week to maintain their current level of stamina.
* It is now possible to start your very own Youth Academy.Season 31 (27-11-2006) - Economical changes, changes to the match engine, introduction of achievements.
* Sponsorship money will get a 4% increase.Season 30 (10-08-2006) - Change to confidence, skill drop and stamina. Changes to the national teams. Search for leadership abilities.
* The Global Agent Organization has agreed to lower their fees by 2%. You can now expect up to 95% of the transfer money.
* The interest from saved money is lowered by half.
* Set pieces skill will also start to decrease with age, just like any other skill.

* The achievements means you’ll get points for different things you’ve achieved in the game.

* Next season, all transferred players will be paid salary from the first day in their new club. The salary will be added to the club's temporary expenses for that week.Season 28 (21-12-2005) - Match engine update. The introduction of Hattrick Masters.
* The unnecessarily complex bankruptcy system will be reformed - you will have two weeks in which to regain sound economical status, with no login limits. The five-login limit is scrapped.
* We are introducing a new Flash-based match orders form that gives you direct access to the skills of each player, and the possibility to sort players according to skills.
* Hattrick will get a new design and the architecture will be changed a little.
* Retire old players to the Hall of Fame of your club. Design your kits from scratch, either by using ready-made templates or by building your own designs pixel by pixel. With the new training report feature, Supporters get a comprehensive update each time a player in the squad reaches a new skill level
* The new tables system is identical with the old one from levels 1-7. However, from level 8 and down there will be more teams per level. At the same time there will be a clean-up of all bot teams. These teams will be relegated to the lowest level.
* Players will now move into more "natural" positions on the field when a repositioning has been made.
* Almost all positions will have their contribution to different ratings changed.
* Wingers can now be repositioned as inner midfielders.
* The introduction of Hattrick Masters. In this tournament all league winners and cup winners will play for the ultimate title.
