A coaches trainer skill determines how effectively he trains players. The majority of teams have a coach with a Solid trainer skill because this level is seen as the best trade-off in between price and effectiveness.
It is hard to precisely predict how big an effect your trainer's skill has on training efficiency. A rule of thumb says that if training Playmaking, 1 level up in trainer skill will save you 1 weeks training. This is, however, only half a week if moving from a Solid to an Excellent trainer.
New research suggests that players train 9% faster if the trainer level is Solid compared to Passable and 4,5% faster with an Excellent coach compared to a Solid one.
Your player's form will also improve (about 12%) with a coach of a Solid training level compared to a Passable training level.
